I ended up dragging Ruby with me to a midnight screening of Iron Man 2 last night. All I can say is that the epic level of geekness I witnessed from the fans last night seriously impressed me!
The movie was great though! I'm not going to tell you too much about it, because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. But I thought it was even better than the first one. If you go to see it though, don't leave when the credits roll. There's a little teaser after it for one of the next Marvel movies (which will also tie into the upcoming Avengers movie).
Back home in the UK, the big election was yesterday. My mates back home have been spamming my mobile with texts since the results were announced, and completely forgot about the time difference! I had to shut it off so I could get some sleep. Labour took a blow and lost a bunch of seats to the Conservatives, so PM Brown is trying to find any allies he can that will help keep him in power. It's going to be interesting to see what happens next, since none of the parties managed to get an absolute majority of seats in the Commons.
